A wonderful girl's junior miss dress dating from the war years of the 1940's. The label on the dress is Junior Clique. The dress with its swing skirt is a combination of Gabardine fabric of black and a rust/brick red color. Plain flat gold metal buttons fasten the front of the dress to the waist.
Snaps on the side seam to also close. Darts on either side of the front of the dress at the waist extend upward defining the bust area. A dart at the center edge of the sleeve gives a nice stitching detail to the sleeve. The dress would fit a girl about 17- 18 years of age (in fact it was worn for a high school graduation)
The condition is outstanding for the age. The only flaw, that I found, were the two broken thread loops for a belt on either side of the dress. No belt was with the dress.
Professionally cleaned and pressed recently.
Measurements" 41" long from the neck line to the hem. 12-1/4" across from shoulder to shoulder. 30" bust. 25" waist. 30" hip.
