Here is a fabulous 1950's pair of vintage pillowcases in unused condition. I am offering these cases from a home of two unmarried sisters who spent much leisure time in the art of tatting and crocheting.
Didn't matter if they used or gave them away, they loved the joy of making beautiful needle work pillowcases. So the drawers and closets were full of unused pieces! I can also attest, their work is beautifully done.
The pair I am offering are hemstitched and crocheted in an Irish Crochet pattern. Front side of the cases are "cut away" and then filled with the crochet stitches in colors of pink, yellow and white. Single crochet stitch on the back edge of cases.
A beautiful pair measuring 35-1/4" long x 22-1/2" wide. Condition of cases are unused, although, have been laundered to remove oxidation storage marks. One small mark still remains on the hem line of one of the cases (see photo).
A splashy spring-time color to brighten any bedroom.
