A cute colorful 1950's child's summer dress of a cotton twill fabric. I am sure the little dress is home sewn. The circle skirt of the dress is of a narrow stripes set on a diagonal, coming together at a "V", on both the front and center back seams. Top of dress is a solid color trimmed around the neckline and armholes with fabric matching the skirt. i
The bodice and the skirt are separated at the waist with a narrow piping of the stripe fabric. Buttons down the back. Sash tie to accent the waist. Although the dress has been worn with repeated washings, the colors and condition are still very nice. The dress would be a toddler child about 2years, maybe 3 years of age.
Measurements: 18-3/4" long from the neckline to the hem. 11" across the shoulders. 26" around the chest and 22" around the waist which could be adjusted smaller with the sash.
Although this particular piece is not suitable for renaissance or re-enactment wear, with a little imagination, all of our vintage children's clothing makes perfect accessories for acting or drama club costuming.
