A gorgeous vintage bed sheet from the Edwardian 1920's era. The central motif is a meandering flower pattern tied with a ribbon bow. This motif extends across the top of the sheet to just within the corners. The same bow and flora sets the stage in each of the top corners of the sheet. Also trailing down the sheet return. A lovely deep scallop border accents the edge.
More than likely this Italian cutwork sheet was from a trousseau. An added plus it seems never used.
It measures 94" wide x 112" long with a return of 28" in length.
Made of a wonderful quality fabric, it is probably a metis (a combination of both linen and cotton fibers).
Condition is very nice, however, you will find some dots of oxidation from the years of storage.
