A pretty assortment of fabric calicos, floral and solid colors make up this fan quilt block pieces. Made about 1920s, the blocks are treadle machine sewn. All in the varies stage of construction, some more completed than others.
Counting the blocks there are 23 altogether. Size of each block is 9-1/2" x 10"
Some of this number has been assembled into strips of blocks. One strip contains 5 blocks. There are 8 in another.
The remainder of the blocks are single. Only one single is completed with the brown fabric attached to the bottom and top of fan. The other 10 have just the fan completed.
Colors are mainly blue calicos, checks and stripes. Some brown, black white shirting fabrics and maroon. Colors are all very pleasing.
All are backed with muslin fabric. Most in white muslin, one in a blue and one is a stripe.
Very clean crisp condition except the back of one block has some oxidation.
Suitable for sewing crafts, home projects or DIY.
