Dating the pumpkin about 1920 to 1940. Great honeycomb crepe paper Halloween pumpkin lantern. Marked "Made In Germany". This is a double sized pumpkin with the two halves folding together at the top for hanging.
Top opening for placing a candle inside in candle holder - amazing to think these might have been lit? Maybe not, and purely for decorative purposes?
Printed face on both sides with construction paper-like leaves & stem. The entire pumpkin measures 11" long x 10" diameter. A little wider at the area of the stem.
Condition: Basically very good for this sort of thing although there are some small tears at the top opening on either side and a dent in the first three folds near the top on the one side only. No flaws on the other side. Even though there are the tears none are very long - the worse being 1/2".
