A beautiful vintage table or dresser runner dating from the 1920's or 1930's. The attractive white cutwork linen runner is embroidered with a large basket of flowers, on either end of the scarf.
The drawn thread flowers and trails of foliage spill over the side of the basket. An oval open ladder design connects each basket at the end of the runner. Scattered at intervals along the openwork are embroidered drawnwork buds.
The finished edge is accented in irregular scallop edge at the border. A lovely cloth so suitable for a long table, especially for a summer decorating scheme or garden party.
Size of the runner is 52" long x 20-1/4" wide. The tall basket is 8" tall on either end. With flowers spilling over the edge, it measures 6" wide x 11" long.
Condition: It is clean. I noticed it does have one tiny area in the scallop border that needs a few stitches to repair. (see photo). This area is 1/4" long.
