A sweet handmade sewing needle case made by Arlene, at school, with a date of 1929. The covers of the case are woven with several different hand sewing stitches forming the border. (a lesson in needle arts). Two wool leaves on the inside to store the needles.
The little case has been tucked away and never used. Arlene Jennings married Clark Boatright and they resided here in Whittier, Ca. It was at that estate I purchased this adorable thing.
If you love tidbits of history, as I do, hopefully you will find this little needle case endearing.
