A lovely vintage set of twin bed linens in unused condition dating from the 1920's. The set consist of two percale sheets and a pair of percale pillowcases. All matching with a 2" wide crochet trim across one end of each sheet and around the hem of the pillowcases.
The lovely hand crochet had been added to purchased sheets. One sheet is marked with the Pequot label which was part of the Naumkeag Steam Cotton Company in the 1920's before changing name to Peugot Mills and later absorbed by Indian Head Mills in 1955. The other sheet is marked Lady Pepperell. The pillowcases are marked Fieldcrest Duracale.
It seemed it wasn't necessary then to buy all sheets and pillowcases from the same company as long as they were of the same quality/finish in order to be enhance with lovely hand crochet fanciwork.
Measurements: Pillowcases: 34-1/2" long including the crochet edging x 21-3/4" wide.
Each sheet measures 72" wide x 103-1/2" long.
Condition: Unused and unwashed. Although clean you will find a tad of oxidation from all the years of storage.
It is not often I find matching sets of twin bedding so here is a chance to purchase a lovely set.
