A small child's red wool winter bonnet from the 19th Century Victorian era. Hand knitted with a scallop edge, the bonnet is lined in a cream flannel. Attached are red silk ribbon chin ties plus an accent bow at the top of the bonnet. A shade of red which makes this a perfect choice for a primitive country Christmas decorating scheme or perhaps dress a doll. Whatever, the condition is very nice but not perfect. The silk of the ribbons do show some wear and a tiny bit of wool loss, here and there, along the scallop edge. Very very minor.
Measurements of bonnet: 10" along the back of the neck line from side to side. 13" along the face from side to side. Guessing it would fit a baby about 9 months to 1 yr.
