Here's a wonderful old homespun towel from the late Victorian era - 1900's. The toweling fabric is a very nubby texture and features a nice detail of red stripe border on all four sides.
At the top center a piece of braid is sewn to make a tab to hang the towel on a peg or nail. At the bottom embroidered initials of O L in cross stitch.
Size of the towel is 41-1/2" long x 21-1/2" wide.
Condition: a tiny bit of oxidation but not much.
