If you love old advertising boxes with charming graphics, you will smile at this one.  The box dates from the early 1920's with the lid  printed of a butterfly and flowers on a black or dark background. This old hosiery box contained a pair of pure silk stockings in a black color in the Elfin style. 

Butterfly Hosiery was made by the Charles Chipman & Sons with a store location at 349 Broadway, New York City.  

Condition of this paper covered box is decent but not perfect with some scuffing at the edges.  One small break of the cardboard at the thumb hold on the one end. Displays very well especially if you should have a old pair of black silk stockings to display with it.

Size is 9-1/2" x 6-1/2" x 1" tall.
