Oh, those colors of country blue fabrics! Here's a lady's sunbonnet in a cadet blue tiny check. Perfect for that rustic primitive farmhouse setting. A wonderful fabric that has been lined on the inside of the brim in a check homespun, then machined quilted across the brim for stiffening.
Back of the bonnet, at the neck, has been gathered for fullness. Semi-long apron to protect the back of the neck from the sun. There is a small repair at the edge of the apron expertly done. You can see the patch on the view of the back of the bottom at the edge of apron. Except for a bit of hand sewing, all the stitching has been done on a treadle machine.
This delightful bonnet is 32" long from one side to the other across the brim, including the length of the apron. 14" at the neck line from side to side.
Condition: Nothing more than usual. A few dots of oxidation, the mended patch, I noted. No holes that I found.
