The color is striking of this lovely Later Edwardian - 1920's shawl in the shade of deep fuchsia. An elegant shawl that is quite showy! The faille fabric and fringe are a rayon or possibly a combination of silk/rayon.

The hand tied, knotting pattern and length of the fringe is impressive measuring 19" long with the overall size of the shawl 108" long x 30-1/2" wide.

Condition of the shawl is very nice although a few minor flaws such a few pin dot holes to the fabric which is only noticeable when held to the light.  A bit of snagging to some of the threads of the fringe along the very edges and a bit of soiling at different areas along the fold line from storage.  Even the soiling is relatively minor.
