A late Victorian child's toy wooden puzzle blocks in box. The lithograph blocks are six sided, each puzzle featuring a different animal or bird. Animals represented on the box lid, as well as one of the puzzle blocks, are mother dog and her puppies.
Other puzzles are of a mother cat and kittens, cow with calf, horse with colts, donkey and little ones and the last, rooster and hen, turkey and peacock. The set is marked Made In Germany and is complete with all blocks, as well as the illustrated colored paper of the animals. (none for the dogs, as this is illustrated on the lid of box).
Size of the puzzle box is 9" long x 7-3/8" wide x 2" tall.
Condition: Set is complete. I found some paper loss to some of the blocks. The hinge of the box is made of a cloth. Although still attached, it is not as secure as should be. A small amount of paper loss at the hinge area.
