Look at this! A great antique sunbonnet to decorate your farmhouse primitive country decor. Just can't get much better! A fantastic early green plaid sunbonnet from the late Victorian era. Home sewn, the bonnet features a stiffened brim to shield the face from the sun.
The apron and back portion of the bonnet fastens to the brim with green inkwell style china buttons. The separation of the two allows for easy cleaning of the bonnet. Gathering at the nape of the neck with a drawstring also allows the fit in this area.
Long chin strap ties at the front. This wonderful bonnet is in very nice condition with a tad of oxidation on the edge of the brim. Appears actually to have very little usage.
Size measurements: 19" around the front of the brim, from one side to the other. 20" at the neck line, from front edge around to around the other side of the front. Length of apron at the back center is 9"long.
