An exquisite Irish Carrickmacross hand made lace collar from the later Victorian era. Made on tulle net, the work is fine with much detail of scrolls of flowers and leaves, completely covering the length and width of the collar.
White in color, the length of the collar, from one end to the other is 40" long at the neck line. The length at the bottom from side to side is 50" in length.
It is 6" wide at the center point. Widest point of the collar is 6-1/2", with the narrowest width at 5" on either end of the collar.
Condition for the age is nice. A few tiny holes in the netting but relatively minor. One small oxidation mark at the bottom edge. Again, I consider relatively minor.
This is a piece worthy of owning.
