This pair of kid's pongee silk pajamas from the vintage years of the 1920's must have been a treat for some little girl growing up then.

The fabric of the short sleeve style top is made with a colorful flower print. This printed fabric also is used as trim on the cuffs of the pants with the remainder fabric of the pants a solid tan silk.

To accent the top, the solid color tan fabric is used at the neck line and edge of the sleeves. The opening of the neckline is curved to one side with two frogs fastening the front opening. Two patch pockets appear on the lower part of the front.

The pants are made with a smooth flat front with center coming to a V at the waist. Back waist seems to have been a string elastic but has lost its stretch.

Condition of this more unusual find is, yes, the outfit was worn and enjoyed. You will find some wear, however, it is still quite decent. I found no holes, again, just wear from being worn.

Measurements: Length of the top is 18" long from the neck to hem. The top was not made with a shoulder seam. About where the shoulder seam would be, it is about 10" across to the other side. About 30" around the hem of the pajama top.

Length of the pajama bottoms is 25" long, waist to hem. Around the waist it is 22".

No label as to maker or country.  Probably Japan.
