Dating from the early 1900's, a white dimity cotton long half apron. This pretty apron is embellished at the hem and edge of ties with rick rack lace.
Creating this type of lace is very intriguing, as each rosette, or circle is formed, then joined with needlework to create the lace yardage. I have seen over the years a few textiles with this type of lace but not many to this extent of workmanship, although I know it was done.
The apron is 32-1/2" long, including the 3-1/2" wide lace at the hem. The waist is 22" across to the ties. The ties, themselves are 34" long, including the lace edge.
Condition: Not recently laundered but nice condition with a tad of oxidation.
Truly one of a kind apron.
