Home sewn on a treadle machine, this sweet doll dress wrapper robe dates from the early part of the 1900's. Made of a pretty chintz (polished cotton) paisley print fabric, the two pieces consist of a long skirt and jacket wrapper robe.
I suppose a morning wrapper stye. Simple construction of a long skirt, gathered waist on to a blue polished cotton waistband. No fastenings on the skirt, The long jacket, with long sleeves, is also trimmed with the same blue fabric as the waist band of skirt. Jacket opens completely down the front.
Fabric has never been laundered and appears the doll dress was never played with. Colors are gorgeous,
Length of the skirt is 13-1/2" long 10" around the waist. Jacket is 13--1/2" long from the shoulder to hem. 5-1/2" from shoulder to shoulder. 14" around the chest.
Condition is very nice.
