Girl's Victorian to 1920's cream wool petticoat with hand crochet lace edging at the hem.  The waistband is muslin cotton with one buttonhole at the front to fasten to another undergarment. 

Back opening, which would have pinned closed.  It is home sewn and as you noticed from the inside (last photo), it was made of three widths of fabric. 

Each width is 25-1/2" wide from the red selvage to the other selvage.  3-1/2" wide cream wool crochet trim is hand stitched to the edge of hem.

Length of petticoat is 22-1/4" long from the top of waist band to the hem.  29" around the waist line.  Condition:  As normal you will find a few tiny pin dot holes in the cream wool.  I noticed a few breaks of the thread of the crochet, however a few stitches would secure.  Or leave as it is, would be fine.

Suitable garment for costuming or display.
