Dating from the late Victorian Edwardian era, a pair of unused pillowcases, with string ties, along with a matching bolster or sheet return. This three piece set features lovely machine bobbin lace. The lace is attached at the hem of both the front and back of each case and on all sides of the sheet return or bolster.
Wonderful quality cotton fabric. As mentioned it could be used either as a bolster topper to cover plain bed pillows, then place the decorated set on top. Or place the sheet return underneath the pretty pillows. That would be my preferred style.
Size of cases are 19-1/2" wide x 37" long including the lace edge which is 4-1/2"wide. The bolster or sheet return is 30" wide x 70" long. Would fit a standard bed. The lace edging is also 4-1/2" wide.
This gorgeous set has great eye appeal to give your bedroom a fantastic one-of-a-kind decorator look.
Condition is unused and never laundered. You will find oxidation from storage, especially on the one of the pillowcases. This would all soak out with a quilt cleaner or another method you prefer.
