Cozy up your living spaces for the winter season with this tin 1800's candle mold! Create a decorative highlight with candles and a fragrant basket of pine!
This antique tin mold was used for making candles from the later 1800's or early 1900's. This nicely made mold is for the pouring of wax for three candle. Each mold is secured into a square base for holding the three molds.
The same size square is made to secure each mold at the top as well. All sides of the square were folded and soldered into place. Even the raw open edges of the two squares were folded over for a smooth surface.
Height of the mold is 9-1/2" tall. 3" square diameter width across top as well as bottom.
As this was a practical "working" item, you will find the more common dings, creases and tweaks, although not much for the age and function.
I would consider it quite nice actually. Also nice patina of the tin with just a small amount of surface rust.
