Now here is a cheery look for a primitive rustic farmhouse. This 1940's charming feed or flour sack fabric is sewn up to be a table runner or table scarf. Pretty and delicate tiny pink and blue flowers.
Each of the long sides are stitched with a ruffle trimmed in blue bias tape.
Length of the piece is 35-1/2" long x 19-1/2" wide. Width of the ruffles are 2-1/2" wide.
Condition: couple tiny oxidation marks, but slight.
As an after thought, I wonder if it was a cloth to place over a sewing machine? You know, one of those box top machines? Thinking of my own grandmother, I believe she did have some type of a cloth over hers. Just thoughts....
