This neat Easter item from the past is sure to bring a smile, especially if you were old enough to remember this type of whimsical candy container. Dating 1940's, 1950's.
Made of a paper pulp, this rabbit is in colors of green, white and orange. Has glass eyes, wired bobble ears and his ribbon tie still around his neck. Even his pipe cleaner tail is still attached. The container inside is decorated with a floral printed paper marked Western Germany.
Height is 8" tall to the tip top of his ears. 5-1/2" tall from bottom of feet to the top of head.
Condition: Nice but with some minor usage. At his one side on the white part of the body some lost of the sandy grit finish. These items sometimes were not finished well, so this part made have been due to the workmanship. You will have to make that call.
