Ribbon Art from the 1920's is always like a sweet treat to find. Would be lovely on a summer straw hat. This spectacular flower, in a pinwheel design, of ribbon in a peachy ~ pink. Ohhh, this color was so popular then.
One side of each petal is stiffened, forming a soft curl, to hold its shape. Two attached buds are also twisted and curled to hold their shape. Yellow gold stamen and a covered button forms the center. Long curved stem of wrapped wire. Leaves are of a plush.
Size: 9" long from the bottom of stem to the top of leaves. Flower is 6" in diameter.
Condition: As you will notice there are some breaks in the ribbon. Still, with gentle use the flower could be enjoyed for a long time. A suitable learning project, too. ~ use for a pattern for making other flowers like this.
