I hope you find this as charming as I did! A vintage Royal Society Pierrette laundry bag kit to sew and embroidery. The kit is dated 1926. The unfinished kit contains the stamped cotton blue and orange fabric for the body, arms and hat of the doll. Also her tinted face, hands and shoes and black floss for the embroidery work.
Instruction sheet is missing, as is the ribbon to hang, however, if you sew, I believe from the picture on the envelope, plus the stamped fabrics, it can be figured out. Embroidered areas are the eyes, nostrils, edges of hat, collar, sleeves and the detail of shoes.
To give you an idea of size, I measurered the length of the fabric, together with the head, hat and feet. When finished the laundry bag would be about 39" long. All pieces are in nice condition. Envelope is very decent, too. Not perfect but good. The price at that time was $1.00.
Found with the kit is a brochure from Royal Society advertising other kits projects. An assortment of novelty items, clothing and household linens are shown. Doing research of these needle work companies? Here is a great piece showing many different projects available to the housewife.
Here's a fun winter sewing craft project.
