The colored advertising graphics of this old Prudential Knitting Mills box is fabulous. From the style of the sweater coats, the advertising box dates from the mid 1920's to 1930. The condition of the box is not so good ~~ but let me tell you about it. You judge for yourself.
The cover features four lithographs of three men and one woman. All with a sporty look, whether you played a sport or were just observing, these sweaters were "must-haves". From V neck to cowl necks, button down or zippered. All with a pocket for your gloves.
The 10" x 15" cardboard box shows the wear and tear of over the years. There is a loss of the wood grained paper at some of the edges as well as one missing edge of the cover of the box lid. On the same end, a detached (still with the box) bottom edge. Of course, with no support to this end area, the lid is concave.
Then there are just the usual nicks and loss of paper etc. As I say, not so good of condition but if you are like me, love the graphics! I could see it framed or maybe reprints made.
So there you have it ~ the whole story ~ a piece of American history from a time past.
