The Animal Mother Goose book is the most delightful images of photographed real live dressed animals. Kittens, cats, puppies, dogs and piglets ~ living models, if you will, to create this playful dress-up book of 168 pages filled with photos, rhymes and jingles.
I would love to show you each and every photograph as they are so darn cute, however, that too, would be a task, but have selected a few to give you a bird's view of how charming they are.
The book was published in September 1921 and copyrighted the same year. Photographed by Harry Whittier Frees. Published by Lothrop, Lee. & Shepard Co.
Condition: Now what child wouldn't have wanted to sit and handle this book, so you will see some wear. The name of the owner is handwritten in pencil on the inside cover. The spline is loose and a couple pages are loose but all complete.
This is a string binding and except for a couple loose pages the remainder are secured with the string. Normal soiling on the hardboard covers, as would be expected. I would say decent condition but not perfect.
