A sweet Vail Bros Little Folks Perfume gift box from the early part of the 1900's. The flip top lid features a lithograph of a little girl in long dress, wearing a straw hat, with a basket of flowers over her arm. This same scene is repeated on the inside of the lid. The narrow box is accented with a border of floral around all the sides. The little box was saved by its owner to become a treasure box for small keepsakes. Found inside a small assortment of articles, including a couple of newspaper clippings, a small cross, a puzzle piece of bent nails and a fringe silk square. Endearing mementos from a childhood past. Written on the bottom of the box, I believe, the name Stella.
Size of the box is 4-1/2" long x 2-1/2" wide x 3/8" deep.
Condition: A tiny bit of paper loss (as you will note from photos). Some soiling. Paper covered hinge with some splits but still intact. Some paper worn edging. I would consider it still to be a decent box.
