From the early part of the 1900's, a pretty Victorian or Edwardian princess petticoat. The A line full slip, with its gored panels gives a perfect silhouette to this lovely old garment. The scoop neck line is trimmed in lace with a ribbon to adjust the fit.
Back of the petticoat fastens with many buttons to below the waist. Detail is also paid to the hem with a ruffle 9" wide consisting of four rows of insertion lace. Circumference around the bottom of hem is 122" so it is quite full. Fabric is white cotton.
Measurement: It is 52" long from the neck line to the hem. 28" bust, 28" waist 35" hip.
Condition: Both underarms have been repaired making the fabric sturdy and in wearable condition. Otherwise a few pin holes in lace and fabric as would be normal. It has not been recently cleaned so does have some oxidation from storage.
