Here's a nice old bone tatting shuttle dating from the Victorian or early 1900's.  This vintage needlework tool still has some of the original thread attached.

Size is 3" long x 5/8" wide, through the widest part of the center. 

Condition. The points at either end are nicely closed.  The one side definitely has two straight lines that seem like cracks. (see photo).   However, to feel, both are very smooth with no evidence of cracks.  So I leave that to you to decide.
