Now, here is another pair of 1920's white britches, knickers or short pants for dressing that vintage child. A nice quality fabric of cotton with a linen look.
This pair of white pants look to be unworn and in good condition. Although no label or tag, they appear to be store bought.
A button fastens either side of the waist for ease of dressing. A placket with button holes is sewn inside the waist to fasten the undershirt or shirt to the pants. Either side of the opening also has a pocket. Hem of each leg does have elastic but alas, over time has lost its stretch.
Measurements: Length from waist to hem is 18-1/4" long. Waist is 24" around. From the center back seam to the crotch it is 10" length. Leg opening is 14" around.
