Now here's a cute vintage style purse from the years of the 1930's, perhaps early 1940's.  Hand crochet in a oval shape with a handle to swing over your wrist,  this accessory will provide a finished touch to your vintage ensemble. 

The pattern of the crochet is a tight weave with the edge of the opening a design of shell or maybe a floral pattern.  Whichever, it compliments the tighter weave.  Inside is  fabric lining and a two snap closure to fasten. 

Size of the bag is 6" across the bottom, from side to side. 

The shaped top measures 9" from one side to the other, although the opening of the purse is just 4" wide (actually the opening is just between the handle).  Width of the bag is 4-3/4" from the middle of the top opening to the bottom.  Length of the handle from one side to other where it fastens to the purse is 10". 

Width of the handle is 1/2" wide. 

This is not a large purse but would have been large enough for a compact, some pocket change and that all important handkerchief.  Just the right size for a dance purse, too, secured on a belt. 

Condition:  Just a little oxidation here and there but is very light.
