Here's a fabulous lady's cami kickers lingerie under wear set, dating from the 1910's into the early 1920's. The set was made in France of very fine batiste fabric ~ a sheer delight in feel and so expertly sewn! The two sisters traveled to France, having garments made for them. A shopping journey, if you will.
I have a number of these sets so the full length photo I am using is a stock photo, The lace on it may not be exactly the same as you are receiving. Please view the other photos for the style of lace on the set you are purchasing.
This set belonged to Jane and is monogrammed with her name. Both on the long chemise and bloomers.
The style of the chemise, or cami, is a flared cut of the fabric, with a simple, but nice detail of hemstitching the length of the shoulder straps. The top of the cami is edged with pretty lace. Just below, fine drawn thread embellishes the front.
Kick pleat at the center back is 24" long.
The button back bloomer, or kickers, is finished with a narrow row of drawn thread on each leg. Another pretty lace edges the hem of each leg. There are two dart, at the waist on the back, to give the kickers a nice fit.
Measurements: The length from the middle of the shoulder strap, to the hem of the cami, is 41" long. 42" around the bust. 60" around the hem. Kickers 38" around the waist. Length from waist to hem is 20" long. 46" around the hip. 18-1/2" from center back to middle of crotch.
Condition: This set has not been laundered and never worn. Has been stored away since 1920's.
