An endearing sewing pincushion made of linen homespun fabric. The pincushion is embroidered in red embroidery floss, with a monogram of K. F. ( I believe) and the date 1891. It seems this Victorian cushion may be a school girl sampler, as there are a several rows of different stitches, a pair of linen covered buttons plus the embroidery.
An inspirational piece, if you will. Stuffed with sawdust, the cushion is firm and hard.
Size is 4-1/2" x 5" .
As you note: staining to the fabric. Otherwise no damage.
