A Vintage Happy New Year from Bingham Canyon, Utah. The postcard is from the early 1900's and features a greeting printed in glitter on a scene of flowers and home. Written message on the back wishing a Merry Christmas to the recipient. No date stamp.
Interesting history account of this town, as it was in an area of copper mining, about 25 miles from Salt Lake City. It seems this town, and others flourished around the mining in the area from the middle of the 1800's.
However as the mining encroached, the towns were swallowed, the last about 1970.
So this postcard is, indeed, a piece of the past.
