A charming piece of hand loomed homespun mat for table, perhaps a napkin or possibly used as a covering for a crock. I'll leave it to your imagination. It was found in upstate New York and is a 19th Century piece. Perfect for your country home.
The piece measures 18" long to the hand rolled hem on two sides. The width is 19" wide to the selvages on the two other sides. It is a wonderful piece of fabric with no holes, however, does have a few tiny spots of oxidation from storage.
