A great old handmade tin cookie cutter in the shape of a bird, duck or fowl. 1870, 1880 cookie cutter with strap handle. Punched star, in the center, gives this cutter an Americana feel. The shape has been cut close to the edge (to save tin) and then hand soldered. Strap handle is also soldered.
Length is 3-1/4"long. 2-5/8" wide at the widest point. 1-1/2" tall, from the base to the handle. Depth of the cutter, itself is 1/4" deep.
Condition A ripple of the tin of the handle and outline of the bird. But to me, that is why it is more charming.
