A lady's pretty whitework tambour lace embroidery day bonnet. The white fine muslin day bonnet dates from the 1840's - 1850's era. The brim and crown of the bonnet are embellished in a flora motif.
Ties of same fabric fasten under the chin. Narrow drawstring at the lower center back to adjust the fit of the bonnet along the neck line. Bonnet is completely hand stitched and hand made.
Measurements" 14" along the neck line from side to side. 18-1/2" along the edge of the brim from side to side.
Condition: although nice, it does have some small pulls to the fabric. It is not uncommon for the age or for the fabric. A suitable authentic garment for historical costuming ~ reminiscent to Sasha Tudor style
