Here is a spectacular hat example of the milliner's art from the Edwardian time period of 1912 to 1915. This gorgeous cinnamon brown plush velvet hat is bedecked with pheasant feathers in all its amazing coloration.
The feathers wrap along the brim, crown and top of the hat extending nearly around the circumference. At this point the tail feathers are not attached to the hat and extend upward and away.
No labels, however, it appears to be nicely made. Completely lined in satin on the inside.
Condition: very nice with minumum of wear. Some wearing can be seen on the bottom side of the brim where it would sit. A touch here and there on the outer side of the hat but minimum. A little soiling to the satin lining but again minumum. Feathers are intact and in nice condition. Tail feathers are tweaked a bit but not bent or broken. It is a gorgeous hat perserved very well in ideal conditions.
Measurement: 21" circumference inside around the crown. Height of crown is 4". Width of the turned up brim is 2-1/4"
