Directly from a four generation estate, a darling 1920's silk baby bonnet. A delicate creamy pink color, the bonnet is shirred with five rows of gathers from side to side, across the top. This same type of shirring is worked on the crown. An unusual embellishment of white curly ostrich feathers, accented with pink ribbon knotted in bows, ending with a round ribbon rosette, frames the baby's face. A trimming of pleated lace gives this bonnet even more of a of dashing look. Entire inside of bonnet is lined in a batiste. Ribbon chin ties.
Size of the bonnet: 12-1/2" from one side to the other, along the face line. 9-1/2" at the neck line from side to side. A smaller bonnet fitting a baby's head about the size of a large grapefruit.
Condition: Except for some staining to the inside lining, the bonnet is very nice. It has been worn, as the chin ties have been tied.
A beautiful bonnet suited to costuming a doll, display or photography work. Could even dress a baby!
