If collecting antique and vintage valentines is your perchance here is a noteworthy later Victorian Valentine greeting card that would be a nice addition to a collection. Although undated it is probably a greeting from the 1880's or about.
The greeting is embossed paper with the lovely paper lace pop up from the rest of the card. The card opens to a sentimental verse. The center paper is of a Victorian child holding a kitten. Short message printed below the child.
Size of the lovely card is 6-1/2" square.
Condition: I would consider very nice for the age and being of paper although not perfect. The irregular edge has been preserved amazing well although I notice one small missing "tab" along the open side of the card. The edge does show some bends but just the one missing piece. Again, I think remarkable. Paper lace is equally in nice condition as is the remainder of the rest of the card..
