If collecting antique and vintage valentines is your perchance here is a noteworthy later Victorian Valentine greeting card that would be a nice addition to a collection. Although undated it is probably a greeting from the 1880's or about. The greeting is embossed paper with the lovely paper lace pop up from the rest of the card.
The card opens to a sentimental verse Irregular edge. Victorian child at the center of the card nestled between the paper lace. Scraps of children and flora decorates the outside edge of the paper lace.
Size of the greeting card is 6-1/4" square.
A crease to the paper just beyond the verse towards the upper right corner and a bend at the top right corner.
Condition in remarkable good condition for the age and being of paper it does have some imperfections. The top corner of the card is slightly torn at the corner and bent. This is more noticable from the inside of the card. Although still intact, it does have some damage. On the lower corner at the edge where the card opens it is missing a small piece of the corner. One small "tab" at the bottom of the irregular edge is missing. The Valentine is not perfect but nice.
