Antique late Victorian era infant's long christening dress with series of tucks and whitework eyelet trim. Long sleeves with wide eyelet trim at the wrist. Front of bodice is made of four vertical tucks edged at either side with wide eyelet whitework.

Skirt is long with two series of four tucks each in each group. Again, an eyelet border edges the hem line. Bodice buttons down the back with three abalone shell buttons. I find the condition of this dress very good with only one small pinhole in the skirt near a side seam. A series of a few in the tuck work near the bottom of skirt..

This beautiful antique christening dress has been freshly laundered and pressed. Ready for a little one to wear or enjoy for display. All of our Victorian and Edwardian antique children's clothing and accessories are perfect for your re-enactment and renaissance costuming needs!

Length of the dress is 37-1/2" long from shoulder to hem. 7-1/4" across the bodice from one shoulder seam to the other. Chest measurement is 19" around. Waist measurement 20" around. Length of sleeve 7-3/4" long. Wrist opening 5" around.
