Antique late Victorian era infant's long christening dress with series of tucks and whitework eyelet trim. Long sleeves with wide eyelet trim at the wrist. Front of bodice is made of four vertical tucks edged at either side with wide eyelet whitework.
Skirt is long with two series of four tucks each in each group. Again, an eyelet border edges the hem line. Bodice buttons down the back with three abalone shell buttons. I find the condition of this dress very good with only one small pinhole in the skirt near a side seam. A series of a few in the tuck work near the bottom of skirt..
