A pretty pair of girl's, children stockings from the Civil War to 1880's. The mesh lace looking stockings are machine knitted with and hand finished seams. Cuff at the top and reinforced heels. 

The openwork on the top of the hosiery extends from the cuffs down to almost the toe area.  The lace work is of two different styles.   White cotton.

Size is 16" long from the top to toe.  5" long from the toe to heel. 

Condition is good with just the normal oxidation spots, a couple tiny holes and have not been laundered.

Would fit a child about 3 years of age. Or perhaps a large doll.
