Wow, look at this!  A true treasure from the long ago period of the 1920's - 1930's era. Here's a brass plated mesh metal purse with a decidedly Art Deco flare!  The size suggest it more than likely fastened on a belt around the waist or perhaps just dangle from the wrist. 

It is 3-1/2" long x 3-1/2" wide.   The Art Deco arched fan loop catch secures on a small ball to open and close the bag.  The inside of pouch is lined in a chamois (or a fabric similar)  which makes me think it was to hold a compact or other cosmetics?  Rather than money.

Condition is good with only a bit of wear to the brass around the catch.  Some soiling to the inside chamois where the brass laid against the lining.
