An adorable later 1920's, 1930's child's bonnet in a baby blue silk. The charming bonnet is accented with pleated tulle netted lace, at the very edge, next to the baby's face. Adjoining the tulle is a pleated silk ribbon ruffle, then several rows of smocking.  Further embellishment is a wired stand up brim edged in tiny blue crochet, in a chain stitch.  Beyond the wired brim, the remainder of the bonnet is gathered rows. Each row tightening and becoming smaller at the back.   

The bonnet is lined in an off white silk.  Blue satin ribbon chin ties.  There is a blue ink stamp inside the crown perhaps a size marking.  This marking is blurred enough making it unreadable.

Size measurement:  13-3/4 at the face area from side to side.  9" at the neck area, from side to side.  I'm guessing it would fit a baby about 6-8
months to 1 year.

Condition:  Very nice, although it has been worn, so does have a couple of flaws.  The ribbon ties are shredding from being tied.  The wire in the
brim has become slightly bent, so needs some fussing to shape properly.  A tiny dot of oxidation on the lining.
