Little boy's antique sailor suit from the late Victorian or Edwardian era.  Made of blue and white stripe cotton with solid chambray cuffs and sailor collar.  Found with a pair of white with blue cotton stockings.  The summer outfit sports short pants with buttons, on either side of waist, to fasten.  Buttonholes around the waist band would have buttoned to undergarment.   Inset on the front of shirt is white with an anchor and one chevron in a cream thread.  One of the long sleeves is also embellished with an anchor and chevron stripes.  Patch pocket on one side of the front.

Measurement:  Shirt is 17"long, neck line to hem.  13" across from shoulder to shoulder.  30" around the chest. Short pants are 14-3/4" long, from waist to hem.  22" around the waist.  9-1/2" center back, from waist to middle of crotch.  Stockings are 12-1/2" long from top to toe.  4-1/2"long from toe to heel.

Condition:  Lovingly worn with repeated washings, which has produced overall fading. Still quite nice for the age.  Some oxidation on the stockings.

Wonderful outfit for display or costuming
